I looked into that book years ago but after taking a bunch of their sample pages and editing some in, I found them lacking. Most POD settings are ballpark at best and still require a bunch of tweaking to fit "your gear". If there is a certain tone you are shooting for one way to go about it is to look up the gear the guitarist uses and try to edit the tones. Try some of the online tones from here and tweak a bit (some are pretty decent to start with) Just my opinion mind you.
Maybe I can still help my friend downloading the settings for him. I asked him to check if his POD 2 has an USB port in order to upload the file settings. He told me that there isn't an USB port. So I've supposed there's a file settings editor which can show the proper switchs and knobs positions on the POD 2.
Hmmm to edit the Pod 2.0 you will need a midi to usb adaptor. The M-Audio Uno is the one of choice. The cable will allow the pod to communicate with the Line 6 Edit program. When you load a tone into the editor it will show you what settings are being used.
Includes settings for songs such as: "Purple Haze" - Jimi Hendrix, "Scuttle Buttin'" - Stevie Ray Vaughan, "Satch Boogie" - Joe Satriani, "Eruption" - Van Halen, "Crazy Train" - Randy Rhoads, "Comfortably Numb" - Pink Floyd, "Rock And Roll" - Led Zeppelin, "Take A Look Around" - Limp Bizkit, "Sultans Of Swing" - Dire Straits, "Highway Star" - Ritchie Blackmore, "Samba Pa Ti" - Santana, "Last Resort" - Papa Roach, "Enter Sandman" - Metallica, and 39 more tracks!
You can't delete the Siri voices for your country or region. You can change the language and country or region settings to delete some Siri voices, but at least one of the Siri voices for your country or region will download automatically.
Increase text legibility and visibility with simple font adjustments. Larger Text lets you adjust the size using an accessibility slider. Or you can turn on Bold Text to give words weight on your screen. Your preferred settings can be applied to only the apps you choose.
This will remove the deployment target settings from all pods using iOS 8 or below, allowing them to simply inherit the project deployment target that you have specified at the top of your Podfile. For instance: 1e1e36bf2d
